Privacy Policy

Snoozecard is a subscription trial management app. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email legal@snoozecard.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you create a Snoozecard account, we collect your email address and an authentication token we generate for you. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from those providers.

Gmail data (if you connect it)

If you choose to connect your Gmail account, we use Google's Gmail API with your permission to identify subscription trial and renewal information. Access is read-only. We extract only:

• Merchant name (e.g. Netflix)
• Trial start and end dates
• Expected charge amount after the trial

We do not store your email content, subject lines, sender addresses, or any other message data on our servers.

Snoozecard's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Card and payment information

When you create a Snoozecard, we store the metadata for that card: label, amount, expiry, merchant lock, and last 4 digits of the card number. Full card numbers, CVVs, and funding source details are held by our card issuing partner, not by Snoozecard directly.

Device and usage information

We collect basic device information (device type, operating system version) and app usage patterns (which screens are visited, when the app is opened) for the purpose of improving Snoozecard. We do not collect location data.

2. How we use your information

• To detect subscription trials in your Gmail inbox and remind you before charges happen
• To issue and manage your Snoozecards
• To send you push notifications about card activity and trial deadlines (you can turn these off)
• To provide customer support and respond to your questions
• To detect fraud and protect the security of the service
• To improve Snoozecard by understanding how it is used

Legal basis

We process your information:

• to provide the Snoozecard service;
• with your consent (such as connecting Gmail);
• to comply with legal obligations;
• to protect the security and integrity of the service.

3. Third parties we share data with

We only share data with the following third parties, and only for the purposes described:

• Google (Gmail API) — provides read-only inbox access. Data shared: your Gmail messages that we request, filtered by our rules.
• AI service provider — helps us identify subscription details from emails. We send only the information necessary to identify those details.
• Card issuing partner — issues virtual cards. Data shared: your name, email, and funding source information for identity verification and fraud prevention. They do not receive your Gmail data.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — host our application and database. All data at rest is encrypted.
• Error monitoring provider — helps us diagnose application issues. Error reports are designed to avoid including unnecessary personal information.

We never sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else.

4. International data transfers

Some of our service providers process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to protect your information during these transfers.

5. Data retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days. Certain records may be retained longer where required by financial regulations (typically 7 years for card transaction records).

6. Your rights

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: Delete your account at any time from Settings, or email us
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent: Disconnect Gmail or delete your account at any time

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Sensitive credentials and authentication data are protected using appropriate security controls. Full card numbers are never stored on Snoozecard servers.

8. Children's privacy

Snoozecard is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

When we materially change this policy, we will notify you in the app before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
